So you may remember our post a while back about asking for help for shelving for the pantry. Well, yet again the people of Bo'ness did not disappoint and we were overwhelmed with a very generous and thoughtful donation from Dawn @ Sweets and Things and her friend Beverley who very kindly donated the sales of face masks that she had made and between them managed to raise a staggering £400 to buy 5 brand new shelving units! As you can see, they already make a huge difference to the organisation of the pantry and now most of the food is off the pallets and onto the new shelves. It has taken hard work and determination to collect the shelves in the snow and get them into the church, set them up and stock them but we wanted to wait until we had done all this so we could show you the end results. We have now had additional donations from 2 other families allowing us to double up on the shelves we have already bought and we are now delighted to show you the results here. As you can see although we have sone food on our new shelves, there are plenty of gaps and we are still looking for all items other than pasta and tinned tomatoes!
